Monty Brown was born in England, raised in Canada and now lives
in the United States. He thinks of himself as tri-cultural. He
has worked in television production with the BBC in London, as
a radio producer with the NPR affiliate in Shreveport, LA and
as an actor in Canada and the UK. He and his wife, Marsha, are
a musical duo working with school boards in Louisiana and New
York to present folk music in an historical context.
Marsha Brown was born and raised in upstate New York and moved
to the South in 1972. Her interest in the music and culture of
Louisiana, combined with a background in marketing, led her to
organize and direct the Northwest Louisiana Film Commission in
1990. She now is a traveler, musician, songwriter, film maker
and... Nana.
