Albuquerque here we come!  After much consideration with costs being a priority the TRACS Board of Directors chose the Radisson at 2500 Carlisle Blvd. NE. in Albuquerque, New Mexico for our 2008 Film Festival and Convention.   Mark your calendars for September 6th, 7th, & 8th — Saturday, Sunday & Monday.

Cost

The Radisson in Albuquerque came in with the best cost and with the least obligations.  Sleeping rooms will be $109 per night.  Our meeting room rate was very good with no obligation for a minimum catering amount like most hotels. The hotel has a restaurant that is opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also at least four restaurants within walking distance from this hotel.  More reservation information will follow in the coming months.

Ease and Cost of Travel

Albuquerque (ABQ) is served by eight major commercial carriers: American, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Northwest, Southwest and US Airways. Regional airline service is provided by ExpressJet, Shuttle America, Horizon Air, Skywest Airlines. It also receives regular service from commuter airline Great Lakes Airlines.  Southwest Airlines is ABQ's largest carrier; it handled 51.2% of ABQ's 2007 passengers.  ABQ offers nonstop service to 39 cities, including: Amarillo, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore (BWI), Chicago (Midway/O'Hare), Cincinnati, Dallas (DFW/Love Field), Denver, El Paso, Houston (Bush/Hobby), Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, L.A.-Ontario, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Newark, Oakland, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle/Tacoma, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Tucson, Tulsa, Washington (Dulles). Nonstop in-state service is offered to Carlsbad, Clovis and Silver City.
