TRACS Welcomes You!
The Travel Adventure
Cinema Society welcomes you to our web site. You may ask, what are
Travel Adventure Cinema presentations? They are an exciting new reincarnation
of what have been called travelogues started by Burton Holmes in
1893. At that time he used glass lantern slides to illustrate live
lectures of his world travels. Color film became the popular medium
after World War II when Lowell Thomas created Movietone News Reels
for the movie theaters across the U.S.
Today, with the availability of digital imagery and digital sound
technology many artists/producers are creating outstanding travel/adventure
presentations. With high powered digital cameras, very bright projection
equipment and a lust for adventure they are creating a new world
of high quality family entertainment. They are bringing the world
to theaters around the U.S. and Canada. If you would like to attend
a real live visual and sound performance then find the nearest location in
this web site.
If you are interested in sponsoring a series, would like to become
a producer or to receive more information about TRACS or to receive
a copy of the TRAVEL ADVENTURE CINEMA Magazine, contact our Executive
Secretary, Kathie Veach at 1-877-279-7604 or by e-mail.
Enjoy attending or sponsoring a vivid armchair experience in the
safety of your own hometown theater.
It's about time we sponsors were able to go to a web site and download the bio, images, scene list, etc. for so many films...
